week 2 already???

I can't believe I'm already off-track! well, truthfully, I can believe it, but I'm trying to act all organized and stuff so my fellow curators don't share my family's amused disbelief that I am participating in this Cure...

I have made some inroads- all outstanding laundry previously strewn about bedroom has been washed and folded. Of course, it hasn't been put away so now the living room is a disaster, but I have high hopes for tonight. I'm skipping the fresh flowers because though I love the way they look and smell, I'm already coughing up a storm because of my lovely ragweed allergy so I can't really introduce more pollen into my house at the moment. I've also started an outbox that will hopefully soon overflow with clothes to be donated, thereby creating room for the aforementioned clean laundry I need to put away.

I'm skipping ahead a bit with this next part, but what the heck- it's my blog so I can skip ahead if I want! I bought new bedding for my bed a few months ago but never got around to putting it on because I wanted to wait until the room was more settled. I bought it for the soothing colors, the soft feel, and the rich pattern (and it wasn't cheap).

I still love it, but now I am also drawn to a bright bold set from Ikea (which is cheap) and I don't know what to do...

as an aside, does anyone know if I can change the margins or the layout to make the box for my posts wider? I seem to be missing a lot of space on the left...

I have that IKEA bedding--and I wish I had yours in the first picture! It is calm and soothing. The Ikea thing, most definitely, is not. If you do get it, put it on the bed during February. It'll perk you up.

Laundry problems usually indicate too many clothes. Hope you get lots purged.

I love the color and pattern of that Ikea set, though for myself I'm going for cool colors in the BR.

And I need to follow your lead re: piles of laundry.

Meant to add - the only way I've found to change margins and column widths in blogger is to edit the html directly - if you know how to do that, or can find someone better versed than I am to tell you (I always end up just poking around with the code until I get it right).

I think your first choice is really lovely. I'd do as Alana suggested and use the bedding seasonally. It is nice to be able to have a quick change when the mood hits.

I really really like the first bedding. It is so soothing-looking.

I got more space for my blog-writing by changing the layout, um, can't remember what it's called just now, but there are various layouts you can choose, and the stretch denim one I have doesn't look as classy as yours, but it definitely gives more space for the writing, and doesn't have those bare margins. (They need more "stretch" layouts...)

Good for you on getting laundry done! It's a challenge sometimes, in an apartment (do you have to use shared laundry facilities? I wanted to do some laundry yesterday, but somebody got there first.)
