yes, I’m back from Paris. and yes, the trip to Paris interfered with my house clean-up plan. As did the complete collapse of our phone system and an ill-timed infection. nevertheless, there has been improvement so I feel I can document the process as a Before and Midway rather than a Before and After.
So here is the shameful before…

Those stacked boxes right behind the blue chair are all empty (well, they are full of packing paper really) and so are on their way out. It is hard to tell, but the area in the bottom left of the picture (which is actually along the wall leading to the closet) is a huge improvement. Proof positive? I can now actually ACCESS that closet which hadn’t happened in ages.
I have high hopes that I’ll get more done this weekend to finish up this room. We arrived back from travel early Tuesday morning, worked Tuesday and Wednesday, then spent the weekend (Thursday & Friday here) in Bahrain for a golf tournament (my husband plays not me but there was a dinner dance) which means I haven’t touched the room since I left for Paris.
Of course, I also still have to unpack my bag from Paris…le sigh…
